How to Easily Put Pedals on Your Mountain Bike for Optimal Performance
To put pedals on a mountain bike, first, determine the left and right pedals. Then, use a pedal wrench to unscrew the pedals in a counterclockwise direction from the bike’s crank arms. Apply some grease to the pedal threads before screwing them in clockwise by hand and tightening them with the pedal wrench. Ensure that the left pedal goes on the left crank arm and the right pedal goes on the right crank arm by checking the labels on each pedal. Finally, torque the pedals to the recommended specifications and do a quick test to ensure that they are secure.
