How to Easily Take the Back Wheel Off a Mountain Bike
To take the back wheel off a mountain bike, first, shift the chain to the smallest cog, loosen the quick-release lever or axle nuts, slide out the wheel from the frame and let the chain come off. If the bike has rim brakes, squeeze the brake calipers together and remove the wheel. For disc brakes, take out the rotor and slide the wheel out. To put the wheel back on, reverse the process and adjust the brakes and derailleur if necessary.
