How to Safely Remove Pedals from a Mountain Bike
To take the pedals off a mountain bike, you will need a pedal wrench or an adjustable wrench. Start by placing the bike in a bike stand or flipping it over so that it is upside down. Then, locate the pedal on the right and rotate it towards the back of the bike to loosen it. To remove it fully, rotate it towards the front of the bike. Repeat the process on the left side, rotating the pedal towards the front of the bike to loosen it and towards the back to remove it. Remember that the left pedal has reverse threads, meaning you need to turn it clockwise to loosen it.
