How to Properly Fit Yourself for a Mountain Bike: Tips and Techniques
To fit yourself for a mountain bike, start by standing straddled over the bike with both feet on the ground. Adjust the saddle height so that it’s at hip height when you’re standing next to the bike. Next, sit on the saddle and adjust it so that your leg is almost fully extended when the pedal is at the bottom of its rotation. Adjust the handlebars so that they’re comfortable and allow you to breathe comfortably while riding. Lastly, take the bike for a test ride to get a feel for how it handles and make any necessary adjustments.
