How to effectively change gears on your mountain bike
To change gears on a mountain bike, first, shift the front derailleur to the desired chainring for the desired level of resistance. Then, shift the rear derailleur to a gear that aligns with the front chainring and provides the desired resistance level. Use the right shifter to change gears on the back wheel, and the left shifter to change gears on the front wheel. Move the right shifter towards you to move into a smaller gear and away from you to shift into a bigger gear. Move the left shifter towards you to shift into a smaller chainring and away from you to shift into a bigger one.
