How to Jump Your Mountain Bike: A Beginner’s Guide to Boosting Your Skills and Confidence on the Trail
To jump your mountain bike, approach the jump at a moderate speed with your body centered over the bike. As you approach the lip of the jump, compress your body and bike into a slightly crouched position. As you leave the lip, extend your arms and legs to help lift the bike off the ground. Pull the handlebars up towards your chest to keep the front wheel level and maintain control in the air. Once you reach the desired height, tuck your bike in towards your body for a smoother landing. Remember to always wear protective gear and practice on smaller jumps before attempting larger ones.
